Perse Enterprise Conference - November 2012

Welcome to The Perse School Enterprise Conference Website!

The next conference takes place on Monday 12th November, 2012, at The Cambridge Belfry Hotel. The theme will be: "Think Global: New Horizons in Tomorrow's World".

The event is designed to help students from both independent and state schools develop their interpersonal and leadership skills, their understanding of business, and the opportunities and risks of global business. The Conference includes inspiring talks from successful entrepreneurs and businesspeople; interactive workshop sessions focused on understanding the challenges of starting an enterprise; and a chance for select groups to present their own business ideas to our panel of dragons.

The event is primarily designed for pupils in Year 11 and Sixth Form. The Conference may be of particular interest to those taking part in Young Enterprise or doing Business Studies, but is also relevant to any student with an open mind. Each school can send one or more teams of between 4-6 people, as well as a member of staff. 200 pupils are expected to take part this year. Tickets are free as the event is entirely funded through generous sponsorship by local and national businesses.

This year's Conference Chairman will be Professor Alan Barrell, Entrepreneur in Residence, Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
